Yes, since the government has made it clear that it is a return to the people for strong economic growth, not as an election ploy. I do not see why it should be limited to election years. And I expect the progress package to be given out when the economy shows strong growth. It is also a good way to benefit people who otherwise derive no benefit from this growth.

Progress package is a waste of money, and does little to alleviate poor Singaporeans from their hardships. It is a short-term boost with no long term prospects, aimed at securing the hearts of the people, and not coincidentally, during the elections period.

Sure. It is a good idea but there should be some terms and conditions tt is should tag on to it oterwise ppl will misuse this system and wait for the government to give us money.
