He can't sell his 3 year-old car because he will need to pay back the bank around $10K if he terminate the loan early. Anyone has any similar experience to share? He need a new job too.

I would suggest that since he can't sell his car, probably he can try renting it out, that would also help him in covering the cost for his car also.

I doubt it will affect his sales job, though travelling is required, he gets tranport allowance also, he can actually take cab or public transport, he will have to manage his appointments and arrange them in a way that he won't be over-spending in his transport.

If he is intending to get a new job, it would be difficult to get a sales job as most sales job requires a license, but it is not impossible. There are indoor sales also.

Did he get a DWI? If this is the case then how long is he sidelined? Usually the revocation s three months, if he can get by with other arrangements for the time being he should speak candidly to his employer and make an honest attempt to keep everyone happy and in the loop. Why rush into selling the car right now, especially if you stand to suffer a 10K hit, that doesn't' make sense. Sometimes we tend to knee jerk reaction when we have a hit from the bad karma fairy, slow down and think things through. Try not to be judgmental I am sure he is kicking himself and has the same fears that you are expressing. Help him think clearly and support him in fixing the mistake without making it worse than it has to be. Both of you should talk to a counselor and help each other through this time, it is tough but it doesn't have to be a disaster. Forgive forget heal move on!

i could commence lining up rides to the places you may desire to pass, your driving privileges are probable history for a minimum of a 12 months. The courtroom will slap an outstanding on you, amplify the era your license is revoked for and probable block you from getting a constrained license for a protracted time. each and every time you get caught driving and not utilising a license the penalty receives bigger ... do your self a want and give up driving till your license is restored.

If he's a traveling salesman his only option is a cheaufurr (sp?) Unless you can drive him arround he will have to seek a different line of employment. I dont think they will offer a restricted lisence in his case but it may be worth a try.

Sometimes the court will O.K. a restricted license-strictly to and from work. Might be worth a try.

Why would he be fired from his job (unless driving was an important part of his job)?
