Yes they do http://www.google.com/talk/, check it out, it's pretty free of all the other stuff that yahoo messenger has, which is good in a sense.

You can use it for VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), and Instant Messaging, as well as file transfer.

Google Talk beta is also incorporated into your gmail inbox/homepage.

They have Google Talk, which is a VoIP application, i'm pretty sure you can also chat through it and it links to your Gmail address book to share contacts. I haven't used it so I can't say if its good or not, but give it a go if you've got a Gmail account.

Yes, Google Talk is the one (http://www.google.com/talk/). Works pretty well. Much simpler than Yahoo Messanger, but a lot more reliable.

Yes
Google Talk also know as GTalk
Not too many people use it. http://www.google.com/talk/,
If you and your friends use GMail, you can chat with GMail
Let me know if you need an account

I hear word that Google has hired somebody that will make GTalk the best by combining all the Messenging sevices.
