I think they have a medicine that they can give you where you are more relaxed when you have it done. I think it takes about an hour or two. There are many things STUCK in side your intestines. Things get stuck and start festering. When you look at an old pipe, you see lime and calcium deposits on the inside that have caused the pipe hole to get smaller and smaller. This is the same for your intestines. You will need several treatments. This will not be a one time thing. I think everyone should have this done unless they treat their bodies extremely well.

It can be uncomfortable the first few times that you have them done. When you feel discomfort take a nice long slow deep breath, this will relax the colon and relieve the discomfort for a moment. After awhile you will find them more tolerable. Yes, it does relieve your colon of built up food deposits and therefore toxins in the food that is clinging to the bowel. Lots of good books are written about it too and when you see what is inside the colon and not being evacuated... ugh. Just be sure to see someone who is a pro at the proceedure, k?

I find it difficult to believe that anything adheres or gets stuck in the colon. I had three colonoscopies (I am a colon cancer survivor). The preparation for a colonoscopy involves drinking a clear liquid the night before that empties the colon.
I watched on cc television as they went up the Hershey highway. It was pink and clean. Nothing stuck up there, just a few polyps (including the malignant one, which was later removed). If you eat foods high in fiber, contents tend to move briskly through the colon. But I'm no M.D. - ask one to be sure.

Just a lot of Lies. There is NO medical justification for "colonics" or "colon cleansing". The stuff about John Wayne and Elvis is just an old urban legend, not true. Stay away from this stuff. Your colon does a fine job of cleaning itself naturally, and does not need any of this bullsh!t.

I know someone who got started on colonics and now she basically is dependent upon them to completely empty her bowels. A good diet, one where you eliminate several times a day, would be much better for you. Consider an alkaline diet - like the one found at www.innerlightinc.com. I eat alkaline, eliminate 2 - 4 times daily, naturally, and have no need for colonics. However, I think if you use them wisely, they can be beneficial to you. Good luck.

It makes sense that if you aren't eliminating after each meal you are storing a host of rotting food in your body. When babies are breastfed they have a bowel movement after each feeding. If you ate 3 meals a day for 7 days, and only had 7 bowel movements, where is the remainder of the food you ingested? I am going to try Dr. Natura's product. It got excellent reviews.

My sister and her husband just went on that colonic stuff, and she said that when John Wayne died there were 40 lbs of fecal matter stuck inside him, and Elvis had 60 lbs!
This is hard stuff that is all dried up, from what she tried to explain. Sort of compacted.
( I guess they found out at the autopsy)
I told her when she got results from her treatment to be sure and let me know how it all came out. heh
