I'm talking about influencing bands or genres, NOT who is better or rocks more. If all you've heard by Black Sabbath is "Iron Man", I urge you to pick up either Master of Reality or Volume 4.

i'd say sabbath. nothing against zepplin, awesome band, but if you know your music history, zepplin lacked originality.

I fell in Love with metal one day long ago listening to "Hand Of Doom" by Black Sabbath at my cousins house and while I liked a few songs by Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath influenced me more and I've heard Master of Reality & Volume 4 many times...Sabotage was a great album too!!! Black Sabbath had a better sound!!!

Sabbath Influenced all that is metal, Zeppelin Influenced all that is rock. Zeppelin wins marginally.

this is tough...Because really Black Sabbath Started the sound of hard rock/metal, but Zep, they really did the voice and lifestyle of it. Sabbath was dark and Zep soared and together thats what a lot of bands look up to...overall i'd say....Zep
