I drank for a number of years and grew up with a spiteful God and learned that God would somehow repay you for your misdeeds. When I sobered up I had a lot of fears, resentments and I guess you could say hatred toward God. You see my dad died when I was 3 years old and I became very sick at 8 years and now walk with a bad limp. Anyway, I believed at the time that God had taken my father from this earth because of some bad thing I had done, and that I had became crippled for the same reason and that is what caused my resentment. Well after being sober for a while I discussed these feelings with a fellow who was also living a sober live and he did believe, very strongly actually. Well I was very surprised at his response to my questioning a God. He told me to break the work down to either Good Orderly Direction or Go On Drinking. From that day till this, over 27 years I have tried to use Good Orderly Direction as a way of living. God, Allah, Mohomad, Karma, it matters not to me but I do believe in a power greater than myself and that if I choose to operate my life as a good example that good things will happen. Everyone is entitled to their belief system and who I am or anyone else to argue with this, if it feels right and good to them more power to them.

I do, 100%. Here's a question for you...

Who's more fulfilled in life, someone who believes very strongly in God, or an atheist who simply does not care about eternity...?

Answer THAT one.

Absolutely, but why do you ask? What can you learn from people telling you they believe in God? What is it you really want to know?
