This is one of my husband's greatest diatrabs against the Israelis. The USS Liberty was a US ship in international waters during one of the Israeli wars with its neighbors. It was flying a large U.S. flag, so it was clearly visible as a U.S. ship. But Israeli fighter jets came past and strafed the ship. The captain had the huge parage flag flown, and called the Israelis to let them know what had happened. It happened again, killing many aboard. The men who survived were split up and told not to talk about it, and the entire incident was swept under the rug. And we call them friends?

It was an American vessel containing an array of electronic monitoring equipment that was in international waters off of the coast of Israel when the Israeli air force attacked it repeatedly for about 90 minutes killing much of the crew.

Years later the Israelies paid a small settlement and claimed that it had been a case of mistaken identity. Rumor was, however, that the Israelies had not wanted the U.S. to have information that they were carrying out a first strike against their enemies, and the ship had sent out a number of distress signals which were ignored during the course of the attack.

The United States never did much about the incident and kept it from the public for a great while as well, although a book did appear about 20 years ago. However, even that was kept from being broadly circulated.

You can do a wiki search for it to get all the info you want.

All I know it sounds like treason and shows us that Israel really runs the U.S.A.
