In running a batch file menu what command do you use to freeze a screen before it clears and goes back to menu

I am creating a batch file menu and it displays the contents for a second and goes back to menu

In a DOS batch file, the command is pause. It will display " press
any key to continue " then after you press , it will resume the batch file.
