they are different...."slim chance" means there is a slight chance that something will happen, its not a good chance, but theres a possiblity. "fat chance" usually means the chances of it happening are zero.

If there is a fat and a slim chance then something can happen so then you have to go to no chance,then their is little chance, I need a nap.
