My warranty is covered for about 200 more days. I have damaged my laptop in 3 different places. The touchpad button sticks, I damaged the inside of the headphone jack, and the 'O' button fell off (in which someone tried to fix with super glue, and it got worse... still works though, as you can see, just no button) I can be quite clumsy!

Anyways, what do I have to do in order to send it in and get it all fixed? Can someone provide a link, or anything? Do I need to save what is currently on my computer, in case it gets erased? THANKS

Haha the the o button was broken before the super glue, so someone tried to fix it... in a really bad way. Is there any way to remove the super glue? I can't seem to find any way!

You have to call for all RMA or return merchandise acceptance.

Because you admit the damage is your fault they may not repair it however. Warrenties cover inccidental and maunfacture defect not clumsy usage and poor care.

My suggestion is not to admit you caused the damage but remove the superglue GENTLY if you can before you ship it to them.

Whenever a company repairs a PC or laptop you should expect the HD may be formatted hence it's empty as the person above stated so back up files before shipping or taking for repairs ALWAYS.

Well, if its not terribly damaged, you could prob get these little things fixed at a regular computer repair shop at not too much cost.

I would save what you have. I sent my Dell in for repairs and it came back with an empty harddrive.

I only use IBMs now.

Yes - you need to back it up or you may find all your data gone.
try Dell.com
What did you do with your owners manuals - info is in there as well.
