I want to load unix based OS in one hard disk, now the hard disk is loaded windows XP
I have tried the same with windows OS but not working in Unix
I dont have any idea about unix Please help

Use power quest partionmagic(for Dos), enable boot from cd option and use the pmagic executable file in dos mode,then you can view all of your windows based drives (NTFS,FAT-32 partions) now you delete the partion and again create it by the help of that program.format it as unix partion

Most Unix and Linux installers will provide you with a nice GUI interface that will let you repartition and reformat the drive as part of the install process. I'd give you more details, but Sun's Solaris, IBM's AIX, HP/UX, the various *BSD Unixes, and all the Linux distros (Fedora, RHEL, Debian, Suse, etc) have different details.

If you can't figure this out you don't need to be running a unix OS.
