definitely not.

life is a series of choices, and each decision is given meaning because it is made at the expense of something else. nobody has the time to do everything, so we find meaning in what we choose to do. if i were immortal, i would have no such meaning, for i would have time to do everything. and my friendships/relationships would all suffer because i would know they were temporary for me as i would live on and on.

I was all set to say, ‘I’ll pass on the pill,’ but I realized something. If anyone could live forever, and I mean anyone not everyone, that person could be of enormous use to society. He could take the time to learn every discipline and find answers to humanity’s most difficult questions. He could revolutionize the way we think about the world around us by existing for a lifetime in every culture on the planet. He would truly understand us.
That being said, if the pill existed and was going to be given to someone, I’d pass it along. I have seen and done things in my life that are too painful to hold for a lifetime never-the-less an eternity. However, if the opportunity were given to me, and me alone, I would take it and do as much good as possible along the way.

No I wouldn't eat a pill to make me live for ever. I wouldn't be able live seeing everyone I hold near and dear to me leave this world and I'm here. Life and death is a cycle. If we all took that pill the world would be a hot mess.

If I had two, I'd do it. But I'm kinda curious about what happens after I die. So if i'm gonna live forever, I'll need company.
