what shirt / tie should I wear with a dark blue suit?

I have a wedding this saturday, and I'm wearing a really dark blue suit. I guess that black shoes go well with it, but I was wondering, what shirt and tie color should I wear with it?

Politician? White shirt - red tie.
Young? Light pink shirt - dark blue tie.
Older? Real lite blue shirt - light blue/dark blue tie.
Chippendale? No shirt - Just tie and fake cuffs.

White shirt....any tie with blues...reds

Prints with the same dark blue as your suit somewhere in the design....just make sure you incorporate the blue somewhere.

You could even wear another colored shirt (solid) if the color is in the pattern of the tie you chose and the blue is in there too. For example, if you found a striped navy, light blue and pale yellow tie, you could easily wear either a light blue shirt or a pale yellow one.

You really can't go wrong with a nice white shirt. Maybe a tie that has some black and dark blue in it and also another neutral color like tan or something. I think that would look nice.

I think a white shirt would look sharp. Light blue or even yellow would work...even pink. But the best would be white. With white you can go bold or conservative in your tie. Any color would go. Good luck.

HI,, i go traditional... white button down shirt.... long sleeve of course.... and a nice pasley tie,, or stripe,, or some kind of design with the blue in it... and another color..... maybe even a hanky in the pocket also... .just to be different........
