I'll be in Osaka with my sister on the 19th and 20th. We want to go out drinking but don't want to spend too much. Any cheap nomihodais or cool bars?

"Cheap bar" is kind of an oxymoron in Japan, isn't it? I like "Tin's Bar" just a three minute walk from Tennouji station (on the JR loop line). A right out of the main gate, a right at the McD's and then it's on one of the little side-streets on the right. They've got great hamburgers and hotdogs too. Beer's 500yen a pop and the hamburgers aren't more than 1000 including fries.

Other than that, there are lots of drinking places off the shoutengai at Namba and Shinsaibashi (on the subway Midosuji line).
