It seems as though nearly 40% of the questions in the LBGT section are outside of the community guidelines Yahoo has posted, and yet even questions which are repeatedly reported are not deleted. Further, the same screen name can post them over and over again, even when the are obscene, hateful, suggestive of violence, etc. As I've visited other categories, there don't seem to be as many of these questions (and answers) that are out of bounds. Is Yahoo itself homophobic?

I guess what disturbed me most was the guy who had links to a virus. My virus program caught it right away, but it was reported repeatedly, and 36 hours later his posting was still there! But in defense of Yahoo, he had posted in many sections.

yeah its frustrating... Seems to me like yahoo should have been a little better prepared when starting yahoo Q&A at least have enough people to resolve complaints... and despite the fact they obviously dont have enough people to even enforce the code of conduct they have set they continue to add new topics in Q&A ..
Ive been wondering if yahoo doesnt view the GLBT community just as the majority of the world does... not deserving of the same basic rights.... I have browsed all over yahoo Q&A and have not seen any topic as screwed up as the GLBT section...
frustrating indeed

Hi Michael

Have you visited the Religion & Spirituality category? Theyve got a lot of trolls posting too.

I think Yahoo!Answers do their best (arguably not good enough) to ensure that the entire site is maintained within the bounds of the Community Guidelines/ToS. I don't think we can call them homophobic (or we should not have been given a category to start off with).

The problem the LGBT and R&S (et al) categories have is that they are easy targets for the poor unfortunates who don't have a real life. In one sense I pity them, that they can only get their kicks by spouting off at a bunch of strangers, in the safety of anonymity.

You know well enough who they are - just ignore them.

i do not really imagine of them because the police. they're more effective like previous play floor video reveal instruments. they have some straightforward regulations, yet a large type of the little ones recognize a thanks to get round them. The communities which have banned at the same time for secure practices have became right into a gang, and as regularly happening, skill corrupts. I actually have a feeling that we assume of slightly more effective of yahoo's governing skill than we ought. you're acceptable. there is not any intense attempt to police the detest stuff, or blatant intimidation. So what does that advise?

I don't think yahoo is homophobic, I just think that there are probably too many people posting hateful/stupid questions/statements for them to take care of all at once. Only thing we can do is just to report every single stupid question like the retard that posts all the log questions

I agree with you. I don't think Yahoo is homophobic, this area is just targeted by more assholes than any other. I'm not uptight, but all this is just way too much. How many times do you need to get reported before your question/answer/account is deleted?

Depends what area you look in. The religious room is the same way.

geez I hope they do a better job elsewhere and just haven't gotten here yet.
Saddens me to think that we are targeted by the pigs here too.
