Even in countries everybody is same color, same race, and same religion, prejudice exists. The answer is no. People will find the most insignificant thing to promote themselves by demoting others.
One thing to recognize is, every man is NOT equal. Some are more educated than the other. Some has achieved higher status than the other. Some has higher skill in one subject or another by others. The premise of everybody is equal is a faulty one.
Everybody should be respected for his or her talent and skills. Everybody has the potential to contribute something unique to the society. Nobody should be put down because of lack of something.
Otherwise, why do we make effort to improve ourselves....? Think about this. We got to where we are now because we wanted to improve ourselves; in another words, we wanted to make ourselves non-equal to the former self by becoming better one.

I believe that the closest we can ever get to that is gender understanding.
If you look into history, before Christianity, which was when men were being considered more important than women for the 1st time, there was a large religion in which women were more important than men. Even now, in today's culture, there's a battle between genders, pressure to believe certain things. If everyone starts to accept one another, and really open their minds, then maybe it is possible.

No. We compete to grow, learn and survive. Humanity as a whole can be averaged out but in pitting one against another, there will always be weaker and there will always be stronger. It is the way of nature.
