Is there anything you can recommend I get for university. Like, would binders and stuff be good?

no binders!!! they get too messy...you might lose your notes...bad idea!

the most useful things you can get are regular notebooks (the wire-bound kind), folders, and pens/pencils (pens are better in my opinion because they dont smudge). i know its kind of lame, but i matched the color of my notebook for one class with the color of the folder for that class. that way i always knew where i put hand-outs and other loose sheets for certain classes.

a good planner helps too....the best kind to get are the ones that have spaces for each day (so you can jot down notes and assignments) AND that also have a full month calendar so you can write down when you have exams/quizzes/etc. i think i would have died without my planner.

often, the prof wont ask you to bring in anything special except for the books that you have to buy for that class (but it depends).

On the first day bring one note book and a pen. Most professors have a certain type of note book in mind for you and others don't care. If you want to be prepared ahead of time you can never go wrong with a three ring binder. You will also need portfolio folders to store all the handouts in. A three hole punch, scissors, tape, pens, highliters, pencils, and paper clips. Oh and it sounds silly but get one of those lil travel staplers, they are great when doing a last minute paper, you have the stapler right where u need it, i would also reccommend a planner to keep track of assignments.

You should start out with a notebook and something you feel comfortable taking lots of notes with. Highlighters are also helpful. Some professors will give you a million handouts, some will give you none, some will expect you to keep a specifically formatted notebook, some won't care. As was said above, I wouldn't invest in a lot until you get a feel for what each professor expects from you.

Lose the binders. They're too heavy to haul around anyway. The basics: A college-ruled spiral notebook for each class is helpful (keeps your class notes and papers separate for each). Black or blue ink pens. Highlighters. Your brain. Wait on the rest and read your class syllabus for specifics.

binders aren't good. Just bring the many thousand of sheets you'll have into your hands. And no need to buy pencils either.... Come on! What do you think? Didn't you ever go to school before? high school? college? Why would it be different into university?

See what the teacher says. I have had many teachers require cwetain things. Same rule applies for text books - DON'T BUY UNTIL YOUR TEACHER SAYS WHAT YOU NEED!
