gets a cut, they ask for a "Band-Aid" not a Curad. If you need to clean your ears-most people ask for a "Q-tip" not a cotton swab. The most common brand name that I could think of was "Coke"-so many people just say " I wanna "coke" knowing darn well that Taco Bell or K.F.C. sell Pepsi products!

I only care about quality. Some generics not good quality, some are. Some brand names are now getting so low in quality and not worth the extra cost at all. If the garment is made better, it is worth the extra cost. I am learning to sew and make my own clothing b/c I am disgusted with the cheap crap they are selling from overseas that my kids wear for two weeks and have holes in already. It is a shame!

That happens, when a product usually the first one to come up with the idea and the product.
One in the UK. where I grew up, was Hoover, we Hoovered the carpets, not vacuumed them.
Our BandAid, was Elastoplast, and when I had my first cut and asked for an Elastoplast, all I got where blank stares. They kept saying, Do you need a BandAid, and I hadn't a clue as to what that was either, lol. I finally got one though, some one, just got one and put it on.
And I thought we both spoke English, lol Not quite.
Products do indeed become verbs, if they are first and successful.

The two that I deal with most are Kleenex and Xerox. Few people ask for a facial tissue, or ask you to make a photographic copy of something.

Oh, and I just broke 10,00 points and level 6! To celebrate, I posted two new questions. Have fun with them, if you like.

This is a very deep thought -It's almost something that could keep me up at night thinking, but I won't let it. I was going to also say Kleenex, but there has to be so many more. Such as motrin thats really just a brand name for ibprohin, but I always say motrin.
