If you live to be 100, I want to live to be 100 minus one day, so I never have to live without you.
- Winnie the Pooh (A.A. Milne)
-----------
You have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment. At some point, you decided to marry. From that moment of yes, to this moment of yes, indeed, you have been making commitments in an informal way. All of those conversations that were held in a car, or over a meal, or during long walks – all those conversations that began with, "When we’re married", and continued with "I will" and "you will" and "we will" – all those late night talks that included "someday" and "somehow" and "maybe" – and all those promises that are unspoken matters of the heart. All these common things, and more, are the real process of a wedding.
The symbolic vows that you are about to make are a way of saying to one another, "You know all those things that we’ve promised, and hoped, and dreamed – well, I meant it all, every word."
Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment you have been many things to one another – acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, even teacher, for you have learned much from one another these past few years. Now you shall say a few words that will take you across a threshold of life, and things between you will never quite be the same.
For after these vows you shall say to the world –
This is my husband. This is my wife.
"Union” - Robert Fulghum
--------------------
And another thing. Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion… That is just being “in love,” which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. … We had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.
- Louise de Bernieres, from Corelli’s Mandolin
----------------------
somewhere i have never travelled,gladly beyond
any experience, your eyes have their silence:
in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me,
or which i cannot touch because they are too near.
your slightest look easily will unclose me
though i have closed myself as fingers,
you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens
(touching skilfully,mysteriously)her first rose
or if your wish to be close me,i and
my life will shut very beautifully,suddenly,
as when the heart of this flower imagines
the snow carefully everywhere descending;
nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility:whose texture
compels me with the colour of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing
(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody,not even the rain,has such small hands
- e.e. cummings

"Love can be understood only “from the inside,” as a language can be understood only by someone who speaks it, as a world can be understood only by someone who lives in it."
~ Robert C Solomon
I like that one, but I cheated. I'm not good at remembering quotes, so I looked it up.
-Here's a quote I made up-
"Love is a place beyond the horizon that you may never reach. Your true love or solemate would equal perfection. No one is perfect; only God is. So, live this day like it were your last. Be outgoing, crazy, anything and everything you've always wanted to be. Find your true love. You may regret it end the end if you never do."
Cheesey, right? Oh well; I like it.

Ooohhh. I have plenty of favorites but nobody beats the bible right?
Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
Bible

Edit: My other favorites:
"Perfect love is rare indeed -
for to be a lover will require
that you continually have
the subtlety of the very wise,
the flexibility of the child,
the sensitivity of the artist,
the understanding of the philosopher,
the acceptance of the saint,
the tolerance of the scholar and
the fortitude of the certain."
~Leo Buscaglia~
There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer;
no disease that enough love will not heal;
no door that enough love will not open;
no gulf that enough love will not bridge;
no wall that enough love will not throw down;
no sin that enough love will not redeem...
It makes no difference how deeply seated may be the trouble;
how hopeless the outlook; how muddled the tangle; how great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of love will dissolve it all.
If only you could love enough you would be
the happiest and most powerful being in the world...
~Emmet Fox~
"Love is a portion of the soul itself,
and it is of the same nature as the
celestial breathing of the atmosphere of paradise."
"Life is a flower of which love is the honey."
"The greatest happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved,
loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves."
"The reduction of the universe to a single being,
the expansion of a single being even to God, this is love."
~Victor Hugo~
And now here is my secret, a very simple secret;
it is only with the heart that one can see rightly,
what is essential is invisible to the eye.

my fav marriage toast is ideally, a married couple should resemble a pair of scissors, although often moving in opposite directions, they punish anyone or thing that comes between them.
fav love quote is if you really love something, let it go
if it comes back, then is belonged to you all along
if it doesn't come back, it never belonged to you in the first place...
