yes
skating is legal in all middle eastern countries, but not within 100 meters of any religious temple, statue, or church.

In Bahrain, which is a very liberal Arab country, they had a skate park, but it closed down because there weren't enough kids into skating. They still had a few skateboards on sale at the Mall though, and nobody complained when my friend skated all over the place outside the mall.
In Dubai, which is part of the United Arab Emirates, they had a tinly little skate thing in the Mall. It was a few ramps and a rail. Mostly they would rent out skates (on each foot) to little kids, but there were a few skateboards too. My friend really tore that place up.
He's got some skating website, that would have pictures of it, but I forget what it is. He's up in Michigan, and keeps talking about something called "Lurk." Maybe if you do a web search you can find out more.

Allowed to skate? Of course!
But then again...who would want to skate when we have our own skiing slope and ice park in one of the biggest malls in the country open all year round?
Or oh! Maybe it is because we have other things to do, you know normal "Desert people stuff" like wind surfing, scuba diving, going to concerts, having festivals and going to sand skiing (Oh yes that one is a favorite among "western" tourists!!)
, going to big water theme parks right under the shadow of the world's only 7 star hotel.
So ye, mostly normal desert stuff, especially since I barely have any light in my tent except for my laptop light and my DSL modems little status light. Well I heard that when the world's longest tower gets built in the middle of our lovely "Sand's" there will be some nice lights coming out of it, I mean I really can't wait until I see some streets lights!! I heard it is so totally "Rad" I heard some of the A-Lister stars that humbly passed by to our "tiny little" film festival, oh ye between you and me Sarah Micheal Galler totally digged the colorful tent we setup for her!

"are arabs allowed to eat doughnuts?", what the hell are you people?! we're not livin in a parralel dimension or from another world! there is a skateboard scene over here and its not very big here because there aren't much people interested in skateboarding, hope that answers your dumb question. and YES they do sell skateboards here

I hope so. that would suck for them to not be able to skate. i skate almost everyday of my life, so being without that would not only make me gain weight, but take away one of the best forms of art ever, alongside music. So in a sense, it's like taking away somebody's music (which could never be done), so i think that all forms of art are alive in other countries as well, rest assured.

I don't think you can use a skateboard on sand. But seriously no, and they can't hang with their friends, or go to the movies, or play video games, or any of the neat stuff that you get to do
