Well after awhile your ring starts to bother you and you end up taking it off. After the baby, if you are lucky your piercing still stays open. If not, you get a scar there. You can get it re-pierced, if you want.

Same thing that happens to every woman's belly button - it stretches. Take the piercing out or you'll be in for a bit 'o pain!

My guess is that it might stretch. Most people take their belly button and nipple piercings off when they're pregnant. Ask your doctor if you need to take it out, but you probably will.

I was able to leave mine in for awhile, but took it out only because my belly was so HUGE it made the ring stick out too much

Your scar will stretch. I know a girl whose scar stretched several inches! Mine didn't get that bad. Don't try to leave the piercing in though!

I had to take my ring out because my belly stretched so much it was almost ripping out.

actually nothing really it just stretches out with the skin and the only thing you gotta do is take it out at the end of your third trimester

I agree with the stretching scar part..But they do have longer bars ment for pregnancy if you want to keep it in..! I had mines in with both my pregnancies with the longer bar of course and it prevented stretching :) goodluck!and congrats!!

i took mine out eventually. they make pregnancy belly rings that are long and flexible if you want to keep it in.
