I Just bought a dell XPS M1710 and am not sure if i made the right choice. Now i am just doing some reseach to find out more. Couple of my friends are wanting to but it also but the cost is a throw off.
CNET did say XPS M1710 is the best laptop money can buy today. (for gaming especially)

Depends entirely what you plan on using the laptop for, if you just want to broswe the internet and type papers then go for a far cheaper laptop ...and give the spare money to me :)
If you are planning on doing gaming and such which I assume you are as much as it pains me to say, dislike dell greatly, dells higher end laptops are great. The other thing though if you are gaming but arent really gaming while on the go you could buy a 500-600 USB laptop for when your on the go and then sink the other 3200 USD into a desktop which would blow the laptop away in performance and would be far more upgradeable. I personally would go for the Desktop since most people don't game that much on the go and a 500-600USD laptop could handle any game on the market now with most of the settings turned down, so when you want to do heavy gaming then just fire up the desktop.

yes, mainly gaming oriented the m1710

My hubby just ordered this laptop thru thier malaysian site, whatever u pay, its really worth it, its supper cool, maybe u can order it thru thier malaysian site as they have a factory in malaysia penang, u can pay thru ur international credit card, call thier customer support and ask for wendy for asssitance
