Firmware is *very* specific to the card/hardware it gets downloaded to. So the 1.5 firmware for a video card won't work on your disk drive, or even on some other model video card ..

Your best bet for firmware for anything is to get it from the vendor who made the motherboard, video card, or whatever you're trying to get the firmware for. This of course can be interesting if the hardware is out of production or the company has gone belly up.

Speaking of which, one of these days I need to upgrade the firmware on my Orinoco wireless card from 8.10 to 8.71...
