If you are using windows you can use a device called on screen keyboard which can allow you to still type what you need while you are awaiting a replacement for your keyboard

To open On-Screen Keyboard, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Accessibility, and then click On-Screen Keyboard.

Try updating the drivers. Using only the mouse you can go to:

1. start>my computer
2. right click>properties
3. click the hardware tab, then click device manager
4. click keyboards, then expand it to select the one you are using
5. right click> go to update driver
