computer desktop shows no icon on it sometimes ...it only shows wallpaper ...so can anydody tell me any solution for this ?

Hi!
If you are using Win XP then right-click on an empty space on the desktop choose Arrange Icons By and make sure that Show Desktop Icons is checked. If not, just click on it.
if it is checked then there must be an issue with Internet Explorer communicating with Windows Explorer on your machine.
if you are using Win 98 then... switch form Active Desktop to "Classic" Win 95 desktop. If you are using the "Classic" Desktop, switch to Active Desktop. This should, in theory, reset your desktop registry settings, and thus repair your problem.

You may need a new graphics card. You might also want to check your display settings for your monitor and adjust the resolution.
