Hello. The best character on Northern Exposure was Chris Stevens played by John Corbett. In the years 1990-1995, Pres. Clinton was President of the U.S and the O.J.Simpson trial continued to haunt America.John Corbett every week brought dignity to the American people in his "Chris in the Morning" shows at the beginning of each episode. He refreshed the viewers with wisdom and intellectual insights. And he was entertaining. One Christmas, he used every light bulb in the town to light up the gathering area and if this wasn't beautiful enough, he played music from an Enya album.Just ourtstanding.

Haha what a daughter.
I can't pick just ONE character, my favorite few are Joel, Chris, Ed, Marilyn, and Maurice.
Joel, because it was always so funny to see him to frustrated from day to day, and the episode where he's worried about Marilyn on vacation was so endearing.
Chris, because he was so deep and reflective... and hot, haha.
Ed because well, everyone needs a friend like Ed.
Marilyn, because she is so awesome and is a woman of few words.
And Maurice, because as full of himself and bigoted as he seemed, he really did have a kind heart.

I liked Chris because he was so intellectual. I also liked Ruth-Ann. If I were in Cicely, I would want to own a General Store. Maurice was cool and full of himself.
Could not stand Marilyn...she seemed kind of slow to me.
