Ok i took the advice from some people here last night and came right out and told this guy that i like how i felt and he just said i'm flattered and kinda laughed it off then had the nerve to tell me that all girls where whores like his ex

Bad luck, girl! you've just encountered a sad *sshole, whose been dumped by his ex.
Well, my take in this situation is that....he has not been able to forsee the other aspects in his life, and inability to evaluate his last relationship that has resulted such a bitter jerk himself.
Don't waste your time, move on to some other chap who's much better out there and who's gonna treat you right!

Don't try to prove anything to that jerk he called you a whore, I don't care who he broke up with or who broke his heart or whatever, he has no right to disrespect you or other females like that, just be glad that you saw the light before you actually got into a relationship with this moron.

Bad advice or not, you have learnt something immensely valuable about him (he's a jerk) without risking anything more than momentary embarrassment. Now you can forget about him and move on without always wondering if you did the right thing.

sounds like he wants you to prove your worth to him before you get his attn.. he might not be a lost cause but you might wanna giving him some space. he obviously doesn't trust you or any other girl like you cuz he's been cheated on lately
