Hopefully, the technology will plateau to a level where gaming development equipment is very affordable for even the indie video game developer. This way, new and original ideas can be churned out that look indistinguishable from the major blockbuster titles.
It will become sort of like the current state of the movie industry. X3 cost millions and millions of dollars to create, but Napoleon Dynamite cost less than a million. However, both look like Hollywood produced films. That is because the cost of film and cameras has plateau'd in the movie industry.
However, the current gaming market is very cold to indie gaming. An indie game made on a small budget could never sell to a broard market like indie films could. It just wouldn't be at the level of graphic detail that the consumer demands.

Hm, yeah. Probably like real life.
Maybe people can attach some thing on the head and you got a sight display on there. People might be able to control their character with the mind.. so yeah.. it will take the brain vibes and such.
Then again people could do weird things this way.. xD like lapdancing on a tree and such. hahaha. That'd be crazy.
But then again .. if anybody imagines or wants the gaming character to fly.. but the game doesn't allow to cuz it would be cheating maybe. How would they want to block that ? I dunno if the technic would be that advanced already in 10 years.
Or maybe there'll still be gaming consoles.. and the graphic just keeps getting better. The graphic nowdays is already looks like it was real. mhm.
Well. I guess we just gotta wait and see by ourselves. =P

Just about the only way for them to go is holographic.,Star Wars first gave us a glimpse at that with the holographic chess game on the millineum falcon many years ago.

I think that games would make you feel like what the main charater was feeling. Like little mind probes or something. Also, something original like Okumi would be very rare, kuz all the ideas are taken.

As a true gamer, I think that video games will have so good graphics, that they will look like they're real.
