Noone, because it's ultimatley futile.
If a young person finds another young person online, it's probably because they couldn't find or be bothered to find someone in real life. Which raises the questions, 'why couldn't they find?'
and ...'why couldn't they put effort into finding?'
More often than not that's a redflag indicating insecurity, low self-esteem, social interaction issues, immaturity...the list is endless.
However older persons who seek a relationship online with sincerity may have some success, but there comes an age where travelling isn't as appealing as it once was, and how can you be properly in love if you cannot physically spend time with someone?

The cable company. I met a female undercover cop on line once. She came to my apartment. She didn't tell me she had a husband that was too or I forgot at the time. Is that what they mean about one hand not knowing what the other is doing or whom? I don't remember the details so I guess that one doesn't count but it was meaningful to her I think. I did write to one girl in Florida for awhile. She paid for the trip and everything I still feel guilty about it. Disneyworld sucked or what I saw of it anyway.Too many damned sea gulls. I suppose it could be done but not when people lie about themselves though.

Well I have been talking to a man for a long time, it may seem crazy but when I get an instant message from him my stomach gets all in knots and I get a tingling feeling. We have talked on the phone alot too. So I guess the answer to your question is yes.

Well, I would have to say, definitely, YES!
I met my husband on line, we talked on line for about 2 weeks, we met and moved in together a few months later, and we have been together ever since! We have been together for 5 years, been married for 2 years and we have 2 beautiful daughters! I don't know if it can work for everyone, but it worked for me! Love is alive and well on AOL! LOL

I meet a girl online in a chat room on the IRC. We joked and chatted about various things. About a week latter I met with her again. Soon it became a habit of mine to go to this online chat room just to chat with her. Her name was lynette and she was from singnapore. I learn many things about that country thru our chats. We were very close and traded pictures,our favorite mp3s. She was a huge Bobby Brown fan. and eventually go to do a live chat with webcam. The picture didn't do her justice. She was beautiful. and could she sing. Many times I would go to work the next day dead tired due to late night chats with her. Thinking of her voice as she sang her favorite songs. I fell in love with her. She was all I thought about for a long time.
Soon she had too many classes to keep coming in the chat room for late night chats. we keep in touch with email but soon that too became less and less. I missed her deeply and would come to that same chat room hoping she would be online. but she wasn't. I eventually moved on. Although I can't listen to Bobby Brown's song "College girl" without thinking of her to this day.

I dated 2 girls I met online. They both lived within 50 miles of me. I even planned to marry one of them, but things didn't work out in the end.
