I know we write it cheque, but I spelt it the other way because most of the people here are american, it might confuse them, lol.

It bounces you are screwed.

If your bank has given you chequing privileges on your bank account, then you can write cheques.
When a cheque is dishonoured by the bank (bounces) the payee will usually ask for you to pay the original amount plus a fee of up to $25 or $30.

In the states the minor can and if it bounces the fee is instated but for the extra fees and charges the parents are held responsible

you can if you have a chequing account. and in canada we spell it CHEQUE! and if it bounces - you pay a fee.
