Not hard. If you really want this, then it's worth it!! I hated my 1st husband! I couldn't stand the sound of his voice. I paid for the divorce and loved it!

How hard is it? Do you mean financially or emotionally? I was fortunate in that I knew a lawyer so it only cost me $900. I would expect that you'd pay double that at least. Don't just go to the Yellow Pages, and PLEASE don't go with a TV person, ask people you know who were divorced what they thought of their lawyer and how much he/she charged. That's by far the best idea. From the time that the filing took place until I stood in front of a judge, it was just under 4 1/2 months. That varies from state-to-state. Some states have a six month wait while places like Nevada can be done pretty quickly. Emotionally, count on at least a year, even if you can't wait to be free. It's a horrible thing for anyone to go through and no matter how good you were, you can't help but feel like a failure. It's been 13 months for me and I'm finally starting to feel like a whole person again. Remember, you WILL be happy again one day. I heard that over and over and never believed it. It's true. Hang in there and I wish you the best of luck. Honestly.

Divorce can often feel like a death....often only one of the affected parties wants the divorce, while the other is left empty and alone. Even if you want the divorce, it can be difficult and painful.
Now, filing the papers can be easy. Divorce does not have the stigma it once had.

Depends on the two people involved. If you both want the divorce and don't want to spend alot of money, you will decide on everything before you go in and sign legal papers. If one of you doesn't want the divorce, it can be drug out and cost alot more money, especially if there are children involved. With most couples, one will file irreconcilable differences.....bottom line how hard it is, is up to the couple involved.

well on my opinion there is 2 ways there is a easy and a hard way the easy way is when both the male and female (i love using these words) both really don't love each other so they decide to divorce that way they don't have to deal with each other. the hard way is when a male does not love the female or the female does not love the male and the mail or female decide to live their own life so basically it depends on how you feel. but if that happens ALWAYS remember there are more fish in the sea. anyways...... hop fully you got to the point on what i was saying. sorry if you did not.

It is not that hard at all. I know for me, I had checked out, and didnt have kids, and didnt want any of his money. So it was simple.
I think having children complicates matters, because you have to wait so many months after you file, then you have to agree on custody issues, the other thing is money, people usually want to split the material things and that adds complications to it.

Depends on the state, and how willing both parties are to getting divorced. My experience, it took me nearly 2 years to get rid of the lazy b*tch, which included having her removed from my home (as she was a lazy drunk from Canada).

That depends on length of marriage, whether there are children or, among many other things, you both signed a prenup agreement.
It also depends on where you live, where you got married and where you get divorced.
As you can see, there's no cookie-cutter answer to your question.
