If you want to keep your account and/or maintain good credit though, you'll have to pay back the amount they covered plus they'll charge you an extra $30 or so for overdrafting.
Otherwise, if your credit doesnt matter to you or you dont want to keep that account. You can risk not paying it. Unfortunately however, most banks now do a background check before you open an account to see if you have any previous banking activity. So they could refuse to let you open an account based on your overdraft.
but hey, hell yeah!

From an ex-banker, don't be too happy yet, they have either 24 or 48 hours to still pull that check and return it through Federal Reserve. If they see you can't cover it and don't, they may pull it and return it.
Don't you feel sleezy?

Hell NO!!!
Was it your account or someone else's?
How much did it cost you? $25, $30, $40? When does it need to be paid back before they send it to collections and to chexsystems? Was it really worth it?
Good job dumba**!

Great. You bought things you can't pay for. Or stole them, depending on how you want to look at it.
Eventually, it'll catch up to you.
