in the present day there is not any lively draft, as many others have suggested. to steer away from the draft with out leaving the country (i ought to target no longer to apply the note "evade") you ought to illustrate that you've been a conscientious objector who basically opposes warfare for non secular or philosophical causes. you ought to connect a Quaker assembly, or a Buddhist community. i do not comprehend if Holland is an selection (they are NATO contributors, and ought to have an extradition treaty) yet Canada has once back began providing some haven for American militia resisters. Holland ought to extremely artwork, too, yet you've were given to do it underground as an undocumented resident, that ought to correctly be complicated in case you do not talk Dutch.

Well, between having asthma, two knee surgeries, and wearing contacts, I don't see me being drafted any time soon. However, if I were drafted, I would probably go and try for either chaplain or something in the communications area, as that's what my college degree was in relation to. Besides, I'd have no control over whether or not it was my time to die.

I'm gonna tell you honestly allot of these people are not telling the truth
and that's a disrespect to our military
i am a vet and i recall several suicide attempts by young recruites while i was in basic. actually one jumped out the window and broke his legs
and two recruits tryed to run off base ask any military member they will tell you about suicide watch and fire watch.
and these were young men and woman who volunteered
its OK to want too. but i recall many of tears during idoc week..
i admire their patriotism but anyone can say they would do anything until confronted
Thats what basic is about weeding out the talkers

If I was drafted, then this country would be in serious trouble because I am not military material. I'm out of shape, wear glasses, have a possible hearing problem, and couldn't be depended on in a crisis. In short, I'd be out before I get in!

It's funny how the ONLY word you did not capitalize was "america" ... trying to be sneaky...?
Any educated individual knows very well that this may be one of the most scandalous wars in history.
Right on, leave this country and never look back.
Not one to run away from a situation, but this one is pathetic.

If I was drafted, I would go and serve my country. Do I like the idea of dying? No, I do not. I just feel that it is a civic duty to go and fight for your country. Even if the country you are fighting for is not very popular right now.

I'm to old to be drafted but if it became necessary for the draft to include men of my age I would be proud to go and serve my country.

When I was in the Vietnam war, a lot of young men went to Canada. I think it was wrong; but that is only my opinion.
