Is it possible that some people from the 911 tragedies are still alive and faked their deaths to collect on insurance money. Or maybe they wanted to make a new life for themselves ,get out of a bad marriage or escape debt? I wonder if this possiblity has ever been explored .
Of course some one would have to take on a new identity,and start a new life but I think it is possible what do you think?
Or is this just a good idea for a new movie or a fiction novel?

I also want to add that in now way shape or form do I want to show any disrespect for the ones who lost their lives .
I know this is a touchy subject but I think that the possiblity exist.

What I was really going for was this ...what if someone was on their way to work that morning and for some strange reason played hookey and no one was there to acknowledge their whereabouts..Would that give you a free license or lease on a new life and to hell with the old one ? What if some guy kissed his wife goodbye and went off to work,then proceeded to go his girlfriends where he watched the malay on television all day,knowing that his wife and family thought he was in that building. ? ..That's pretty much where I was going with this question..

Actually, I believe there was a case of a person faking his death in 9/11 and got caught.

You want gross? You got it....I stayed up late one night and saw a midnight show of people actually jumping and hearing them splat, a loud thud. Can you imagine what the concrete looked like afterward (at that time)?. It was unimaginagle, unthinkable, yet they were left with no other way, either burn to death, years of having their body rebuilt and skin grafts and horrible pain, or jumping. Such a choice. Would you have the guts to have jumped after saying goodbye to your family? It took loss of hope, end of a career and family, everything flashed in front of their eyes in seconds. They knew they were trapped, they had no way out. One man was next to the tip of the front of the airplane. One woman survived the fire; did you see them on the Oprah show? Recently on the Oprah show I saw one wife of someone who jumped who wanted to have the area where the towers were used to commemorate those whose body parts were either found or tiny pieces of their bodies that were found, but mostly she said because some bodies are still in the scooped up debris. And Oprah told her to get over it. How crude can that be?
You ask if maybe some are still alive of those who were in the tragedy. I suppose anyone who made it down the steps could be alive today, and probably are, but people remember who they were beside, who was left behind, etc. surely someone would have said when they remembered them last and where they were when they left them. I would think that anyone who was in that catastrophy would be talking about it, not hiding from debt, family members, their wife, etc. because it would bother them so much. It's not like just getting on a plane and flying to another country and taking on another identity. Everyone to date has talked this out ad finitem. Those who collected money and were not in a position to accept that money have already prosecuted to the full extent.

Maybe if you were already wanted by the police and soon to get
caught however, Do you really think the odds of say more than
maybe 1 person would be that. I think most people wouldn't
go to such extremes to not be found. If they were already in too
deep I think they would have left the country and got killed on one
of the planes crashing into the world trade center!:) I'd watch the
movie.

They still are not sure because they have some unidentified DNA. Trust me, most people were not faking it.
Also, they had an episode of Law and Order on a death blamed on the WTC.

ps I dont like history because its full of lies of what people want us to believe...
so i guess maybe you're right .. maybe people did fake I know alot of family members claimed to have had relatives there just to get free stuff for nothing

No and there is no chance that they ever will be, and yes there are many people out there trying to get something for nothing.........................
