As an implanted New Yorker, I think it's WRONG and it should not have been made until at least 10 years after the tragedy.

I think they should wait because MY GOD they haven't even finished building the Freedom Towers and if you've ever been down to the site, it's like it just happened yesterday. Very depressing and it's too soon for the families and NY.

Jeanius, I disagree with you. "Just because a person lives in NYC does not give them a monopoly on grief" ... many people here are upset about this movie. We have to see the damn previews for this movie so it's not just about refusing to spend money to see the movie if we don’t like it. We're exposed to previews everyday when we watch TV.

When I went to go see the movie Lady in the Water, the World Trade Center preview came on. All I could do was shed tears and I think it was a bit too soon for Hollywood to open this to movie theaters nation wide. I agree with you and I think it would have been the best if they released it 10 yrs from now or perhaps never remade the true story in the first place. I don't think none of us would want to dig into our past - especially this horrific tradegy that occured six years ago. I think Hollywood should have left both 9/11 and Flight 93 out of the picture. Even though the movie is out in theaters I do watch Tv and the commercials do come on. I get speechless and feel sad for those who lost their lives or loved one on that day.

if the people being portrayed in the movie are ok with it why is it wrong? You're basically saying in 5 years everyone will have got over the grief and be able to watch it - i disagree it will be just as hard watching it now as it would be in 5 years time.
If people don't want to see the movie all they need to do is keep their money in their pockets and move on, those who do want to see it will see it - just because a person lives in NYC does not give them a monopoly on grief.
I watched united 93 two days ago and it was very hard to watch but it helped me to see just how difficult it was for the innocent victims abord that flight, their story deserved to be told so everyone could see just how bad it was to be thrust into such a situation, watching these movies is not a form of entertainment it helps the general public to see that those were real people and real lives that were affected on that day.

Honey, that movie was set for release WHEN 9-11 happened.
In good taste they didn't release it.
Then they changed it up to play up the heros of 9-11. And there were many.
And as an "implanted" New Yorker, you are not the only one that was hurt by this. I am an implanted Districter. That's Washington DC for the rest of you folks.

to three human beings it is going to continuously be "too quickly". in case you do not favor to observe it noone is forcing anybody to finish that. Watch the action picture in the previous you come back to any conclusions like "Hollywood is evil" etc etc. in my opinion i recognize a firefighter that replaced into there and also an more effective contained in the action picture and he stated if it replaced into purely a cashgrab not one of the firefighters from 9/11 (that were extras contained in the movie) could have carried out the action picture.

I won't see it. The day of 911, was terrible. And I said to myself and others... " soon someone will make a movie about this, and I will not spend one penny to assist someone get rich on that tragedy", and I meant it, and I will stick with that.

Im tired of hearing about it personally. It's annoying. If it is too much for you people, DONT WATCH IT. Imagine having choices! Everyone acts like they are being forced to watch this movie.
I also hate people who play the victim. "Im from NY & I don't feel like we are ready for it." Chances are you didn't know anyone in the WTC's & you were probably not affected by what happened in any way. So cry about it. Ugh.

It was pretty good. More about 2 people trapped inside than the whole Tragedy of 911.

I think such movies are ghoulish. I knew two people that took the ride in the WTC that day plus one on FLight 93, and the concept of movies on this is disturbing.
Imagine someone making a movie about the death of your husband, wife, child or parent. Damned entertaining thought, isn't it? I think hollywood is full of freakin' self-centered, greedy morons who hide behind the facade of "their craft". Yeah, its all about the craft, isn;t it?

Pure greed.
It was way too soon to make a movie about such a horrible event in our nations history.
The wound is still open and bleeding.

I think WTC is going to flop - its too much too soon. I dont need to go to a movie theatre to see something like that, I can just flip on CNN. And the foiled attempt yesterday reinforces that terrorism is something that needs to be a constant concern for our governments. It was not a one-off event like Pearl Harbour. I think I'll stick with movies like Snakes On A Plane.
