ok people. why is it that the penny is carelessly tossed aside. people dont care about the penny and is used more for crafts then what it was made for. Do u think this is what one of the GREATEST PRESIDENTS of the united states would have wanted? he was a great president and does not deserve this tratment. sure you might say, sure yea a penny. whatever. who cares about pennies? right? well sure what happened in the past stays in the past but think about what greatness this president brought to this world.

A Penny saved is a Penny earned. I've heard when you find a Penny on the ground it was placed there by an Angel to put a smile on your face. And I'm sure ALOT of people out there still have there Penny jars aka change jug lol.

Well, I don't really know what your question is, but I don't toss aside pennies. I pick up pennies off the ground, actually, one or two a day. I love pennies, because they are free to anyone who looks for them on the sidewalk, and they are real money, after all.

I like your question. Yes, Lincoln was a great president (who did not own slaves, thank you very much). I think getting rid of the penny would be ridiculous but if we do, I hope Lincoln's profile gets to grace another coin.

Hmm, considering that Lincoln started the American Civil War by opressing the agarian South with costly tariffs on foreign goods that went to public works projects in the North, I don't think we have much need to care about the penny.

It's unfortunate that Lincoln ended up on the penny.

It doesn't make the penny any more useful.

the penny has become worthless. it's a monetary denomination not a tribute or a monument. i agree Lincoln was a great president but the penny has become useless.

I think Lincoln would laugh at how foolish people that throw away a penny are and would admire though smart enough to pick them up. you know I bet it has added up to alot of money over the years.

because it cost more money to make than it is worth. They can come up with another way to honor the president than wasting more money.
