I agree that i t depends on your mood and your taste in music. If you want to see your run of the mill productions, i would recommend checking out Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, The Producers, or Cats. Those are the mst well know and most loved in my opinion. However, if you are looking for something a little off the beaten path but just as amazing as the others, I would suggest Aida, Avenue Q, The Last Five Years (which might actually be off broadway but i highly recommend it), The Assassins....and oh so many more...the choices are endless, but the best thing to do would be research the plays. got to www.broadway.com and see what is currently playing. I have heard fabulous things about spamalot, and if i weree you, i would consider looking into Forbbiden Broadway...thats typically and off broadway production that pokes fun at the real production. its the theatres way of making spoofs, and they can get you laughing for hours. hope ive helped :)

Phantom of the Opera or Wicked. :) Both have amazing sets and special effects. Fun songs, too. Wicked's a bit more uplifting, though.
