We will be in Germany for 2 years and I am completely addicted to these shows. Is there any way to get American TV through Sattelite or cable? So far i've had no luck with asking American Cable/Internet Companies and Slingbox only works with Computers so I couldn't tape the shows in the middle of the night in Germany (time change). I'd really appreciate some help.
This is important to me since I don't speak any German so please only answer if you have a possible solution. Thanks.

A lot of networks are offering their shows on their websites after it airs on tv. ie Vh1 has thier episodes of Flavor of Love avaliable for free.... CBS has episodes of Big Brothe ravailable for free... E! has the Simple Life for free.... so I guess more and more netowrks are reaching out to the internet audience. Also, some shows are available to dl on itunes for a small fee.

I just recently returned from Germany and from where I was in Spenge we could get english T>V stations such as MTV, CNN, and Cartoon Network....as much dissapointment to you we could recieve no prime time American TV over there. However different parts of Germany could be different so if poosible check with the people or hotel you are staying in as to which english programs they get. If worse come to worse i am sure you can find the shows in german and just turn on english subtitles which all TVs shoudl have. Good luck. And by the way German is the greatest country to visit ever.

There is what's called Sky TV, and you can get some American shows on that. Other than that you can have friends tape shows for you and send them to you, or buy the dvd sets when they come out.

I am glad you asked that question. Germany is the next place for me to visit. I went to Norway and while the tv shows where ok, i about died when my fav soap oprea (y&r) came on.
