I think some of his readings were accurate and scary. For instance he even named Hitler, though he wrote it as Hister.

Like all people who seem to be able to predict the future Nostradamas make fairly vague statements that are bound to fit some future circumstance. For instance; If I were to predict that a great man will come who will inspire and lead us all through a major crisis, that could fit someone in each of the last 10 years. He was smart, but I doubt that he could see into the future.

No, he was an intelligent man and made logical deductions some wholly accurate, some not. Da Vinci made logical projections and even drew his interpetation of future events; he drew a helicopter and told how one day man would be able to travel thru the skies, long before the Wright brothers did so at Kittyhawk. He never claimed to see the future.

Very much possible.
When a person evolves beyond the level of perception through his sense organs, newer dimensions of life open up and the perception levels deepen.
We have an almost similar case, or on similar lines very close to our Yahoo Answers community !

And , it is easy to dismiss such claims rather than take pains to find out the possibility. Only the wearer know where the shoe pinches !

I do believe so. Many things that he wrote about have already happened, however, when I think about what he wrote of what's waiting for us in our apparently very near future, I rather think that he is wrong.
Some of his predictions were very detailed and unexplainable for a man who lived in the times that he did. Things that fly??? back then??? He obviously couldn't be precise about them cause he had no idea what they are, never the less, he did see them and wrote about them as he saw them...
