How long does it take for your period to become regular? I have had it for about one and a half years and I am still not regular.

mine never became regular and i'm 23 now... if you want it to be regular the only thing you can really do is to go on birth control to regulate it.. otherwise... rejoice in the fact that you rarely have it.. (at least that's what i did!) you can always talk to your gyno about it if you have any questions...

All women's bodies are different. What may be regular for one woman is quite different or irregular for another. Like for me when I used to get my period it would always occur during the 3rd week and now unless I'm really stressed or feeling a lot of tension, my period will jump to the first week of each month. I have a friend's period that either starts a week before mine or like 2 weeks after. I don't think periods ever really even out because of all the stress that girls are under with school, and work, and even if they have kids and are married. Just mark it on the calendar and get some advil and rest when you have yours, whenever it shows up.

It depends on alot of things like diet, activity level, and stress level. Sometimes its never regular. I'm 21 years old and have had my period since I was 12 and my period only became regular last year when I started taking birth control pills.

My period didn't become regular until I was put on birth control. But I know a lot of people who still have irregular periods (I'm 21.)

Some people have irregular periods all their lives. The best way to make sure you stay regular is to go on a form of birth control.

Some women's periods never become "regular". My doctor says that a "normal" period is one that occurs every 15-35 days, and that lasts from 3-7 days.

If you are concerned that there might be something wrong, ask your mom or another trusted female relative (aunt, grandma) to take you to see a licensed physician, who can help you.
