It's hard to say, since it doesn't have any major effects on my daily life.

I guess, since periodically, you hear about a sex offender or a murderer getting out on "good behavior," or some other such thing, then they go out and kill or rape yet another person, for things such as that, I would say the law is not harsh enough.

Other than that, it seems ok to me.

Very generally,, it is not a question of harshness,,
but the law is far, far, far, too complicated there are too many loopholes for lawyers to exploit, too much case law that negates previous law, so-fourth and so-on.

The entire system needs to be scrapped, simplified and re written.

not harsh enough.For murders.....death on public television, as an example.For speeding A stupid fine is OK, but points on the license to raise your insurance for three to 5 years is too much.

too harsh for misdemeanors.. and not harsh enough for felonys
