He was the all-around good guy shortstop that played for the Cincinnati Reds for many years. Did he retire?

Did I mention that he was and is my favorite? For one reason or another, every time I went to a Reds game, he just was not in the house. I wanted an autograph, Barry!

He works as a special assistant to Jim Bowden (Yech!!!) -- Bowden can use all the assistance he can get.

I never understood why a good and decent person like Larkin would associate with pond scum like Bowden.

Barry Larkin retired as a player from the Reds at the end of the 2004 season. Now Barry Larkin has a front office job for the washington nationals. If you want an autograph call the nationals ( I believe their number should be somw where on the team site) and ask about barry larkin.
