i think what you have is a bent axle,,i own a repair shop in Tennessee and i have ran across this problem before,,with a 2001 model,,check and see if your has a trailer hitch on it,,if it does ,,have them check the axle on it,,what i found out was the previous owner of the one i was working on had pulled a trailer with it,,and he had really hauled a lot of heavy loads with it,,these cars weren't meant to haul large loads,,and that was what warped the axle on it,,after we replaced the axle it drove like a new one,,no vibration or nothing,,i hope this helps.

Ask them to change the rear differential fluid, if its 4wd?? I believe they are front whell drive suv's right? If not, then maybe get new drums on the rear, as they are probably out of round, from rust, and wear, and such.

Don't buy a Kia, they are like the 2000 version of the Geo Metro. What were you thinking? Then again you get what you pay for haha.

Could be a motor mount , u-joint or possible a bent rim . Take it to another shop let them drive it and tell you what they think .
