I think you still feel some inside pain ,she probably hurt you, maybe was or is jealous of you, maybe took your boyfriend...I don't know.I told this already to a few people in "Answers" :a physical pain in dream=mental pain in reality.About that stop mach thing I would say there is something you hold against you and it still "sits"in your stomach, something you can't forget, whether good or bad.Clawing in face and eyes,I'd say she doesn't want you to see or know some things.

Well, I believe dreams have meanings. For example; it is said that dreams of falling or running from something or someone is interpreted as the dreamer is having some serious stress issues. There are a thousand and one different interpretations. Everyone has their own opinion. So, you need to evaluate this dream yourself and maybe your opinion will take over. You need to ask yourself, "self..(hehe) why am I and this ex-best friend not best friends anymore?" If the answer is because this person decieved you, lied to you or hurt you in any way than most likely the "clawing dream" is a sign of past anxiety maybe... But like I said you have to intepret it yourself.

What does it feel like to you? Is she trying to claw her way back into your life? Or is she trying to claw at your life to hurt you?
The BEST interpreter for any dream is the dreamer, because they know how it feels. Just listen to your instincts about it, if it feels like she is trying to harm you, keep away from her and beware, she may be saying things to others to try to cause you problems.
If on the other hand the clawing does not feel harmful, or does not frighten you, she may be wanting to apologize.
It could be that you have unresolved feelings and that's all the dream means,.- that you feel she hates you. Do you need to apologize to her for something?
These are only suggestions, look into yourself for answers

I was once told that reacurring dreams ment that you need to take a close look down the path that your life is headed. I did just that and changed my path and the dreams went away.

I used to believe that dreams had "meanings" and stuff...but I really think that they're just jumbled stuff from the back of your mind now. I mean, have you ever had any feelings of mistrust towards her? Or any sort of bad feeling at all? Because that could be it...

It sounds to me that the fight that brought on the EX portion of friend is really bothering you on a daily basis and your subconcious is telling you what you feel like inside of what her part on that was.
