I'm moving out to LA after this year of high school but I don't know where I should go to school. the whole college experience isn't that important to me, so if it's a school that doesn't offer room and board or anything, that's not a huge deal cause I want my own place anyway.

I've been looking at Loyola Marymount, but I heard their film school is very hard to get into and I only have a 3.3 average, but on my SATs (with the old scoring) I got a 1320, or with the new scoring I got a 2070 which is pretty good. ideally I would wanna to to UCLA but there's no way I could get in :(

The best film school in LA is USC -- with UCLA probably being second best.

The best business school in LA is UCLA with USC being second best. But UCLA is a LOT better than USC.

USC is by far one of the best film schools in the WORLD. People like George Lucus and Spielberg went there. Although its private so its about $25-30,000 year of tuition.

For business UCLA is better and it also had one of the top medical schools as well.

As Taranto said, it's USC and UCLA. Nothing else is close.

Don't shoot yourself down by thinking you won't get in. You certainly won't get in if you don't apply. Get going on the applications.

I can't tell if you're finishing HS where you are, or will have some more to do in LA. In either case, work on your grades (it's the last two years of HS grades that really count), but you don't have to wait until your in LA to start.
