An electric guitar won't work with nylon strings....well, not through an amp.

Electric guitars have steel strings.
What you want is a classical guitar fitted with an acoustic transducer pickup. Very hard to find guitars already equipped so you'll need to buy the pickup seperately and fit it yourself. Either that or there are microphones available designed for classical guitars which will give you a similar result.

yea i'm also confused by that measure - generally nylons are only put on classical/spanish guitars
