Dreaming of disaster like tsunamis could mean you are into some sort of fear. Your life may not seem like you are into a mess. However, you are insecure about your current condition. You may not be satisfied of your current life. You may want something better in your life. You may not get in reality. The projection of Tsunamis basically will show how unsatisfied or insecure about your life now. This is from your subconscious mind.
Of course, if you recent heard the news about Tsunamis or have friends who have experience this kind of tragedy, that will trigger that dream and that won't go away because deep down you feel bad for those people and somehow you want to actual experience what situation people are in. This may be due to your kind heart.
I could be wrong, but that is how I see from your dream

That is soooo wierd, because I used to have recurring dreams of ocean waves splashing up against me, and I would still be standing just letting these 100 foot waves just come toward me. I am a pisces and I don't really think that has anything to do with it, but I think it was a dream that indicated overcoming my fears!!!
I was not scared. The dreams stopped for some reason and then I had dreams of dolphins jumping thru the ocean and I think that represents freedom.

You know, it is interesting to read your post and then to read some of the responses you recieved here from other folks who have had similiar dreams to yours. ... Personally, I do not think it is any coincidence that apparently many people are having such dreams at the same time that tsunami's are actually occuring around the world (along with other major disasters of course). .... The earth is undergoing major changes right now, and so is the consciousness of humanity in general. In truth, there is no separation between the two. The inside and the outside are really one and the same.
In my opinion, you and others who are experiencing such dreams, are receiving images from the unconscious that are expressions of this major energy of change and transformation that is moving through this world and the conosciousness of this world right now. ... This is probably the most powerful moment in the history of this planet. ... Big changes are in the works on all levels, and such change is cataclysmic and characteristic of upheaval and destruction of the old forms and ways of thinking and being, in order to make way for the new and more expanded life and consciousness ahead.
.... These dreams may cause fear in you when you are experiencing them,.. but in fact they are portending the positive power of transformation in the road ahead. .. Do not fear it, but rather, allow yourself to "ride the wave in to shore" so to speak. ... It will take you closer to Home within yourself.

I recently had the same dream. I live next to the ocean in Maine. In my dream I saw this huge wave take out an entire bridge from beginning to end and swallow it whole. Of course I climbed as high as I could on top of a building to escape that wave, but it made no difference. It was like the Movie Perfect Storm I was right inside of the whole thing. I died. Could be anxiety. I have a lot of stress, perhaps you do as well!

I am freakin out!!! I have been having the same kind of dreams for about 6 years. I am not kidding but when I read your question with the details, you would actually think that I wrote it myself. I don't know what it means...... Could it be an impending doom? I have the exact dreams very often. I see the big waves coming up and flooding all around me. I dream of dark waters with scary fishes that I'm unable to see completely. It's weird.

It could mean you are bothered about the tragedy of what happened with the recent Tsunamis, or, have a fear of them. Perhaps you have a fear of water that is manifesting itself in this fashion. On a humorous note, maybe you have to go to the bathroom and the dream is natures way of telling you :-)

Interpret Your Dreams on this site all the meanings without having to look them up never mind the...Title...of the web-site. http://www.freakydreams.com/ because Good Dreams also can be Interpreted.
Dreaming is a place of possibility and creation, a land of futures that might come and pasts that never were. It is also a land of nightmares.
It constantly changes as people fall asleep and shape parts of it, then wake up and their dreams dissolve back into mist. A dreams dictionary always helps ( for other descriptions needed ). http://myjellybean.com/dream/pagey.html
Did you know you can make yourself dream anything its called...Lucid Dreaming which this site will explains along with some other questions about dreaming. http://www.dreams.ca/

You are going to experience change in a big way. Water in dreams represents changes. Look for changes and most of the time those changes are positive but judging from the dream you are in for some huge changes that are going to rock your world. Be on the look out.

Sounds like a stress disorder that you are dealing with. Have you been involved in something catastrophic that you have never gotten counseling for?
Also, one thought, there are some good dream interpretation websites online. It also sounds like you feel overwhelmed by the situations in your life. Maybe you ought to step back and took a look at your life to see if you have too much going on and it is weighing you down. My husband and I went through a very stressful period of time and he dreamed that wild wolf-like dogs would chase him through the woods. It scared him to death and he would scream in his sleep. We got counseling and help and he was able to help himself and voila! the dreams stopped.

You may want to consider this...I had one person having recurring nightmares.. by following directions, she found that the dream was completed. It was not the nightmarish type she had been having... It did include family members also. What had been devestating had now becme pleasant.. No more recurring dreams and no more nightmares.
