i was with my campers by the sprinkler when the thought poped into my head, 'why have i never seen any hose a color other than green.'

The companies make them green, so when you are mowing your lawn and do not see the green garden hose laying in your green lawn and hit it with the lawn mower and destroy it, you have to go buy a new one.
It makes money for the companies who make green garden hoses.

I have seen yellow, red and black ones, too, but I think they made them green so they would blend with the grass for when you use a sprinkler.
Just a good guess.

so u doesn't look like u have an ugly garden hose on ur lawn, but that is only at first glimps. Or the people how create ur garden hose really want u to trip.

Because they lie in the grass. By the way, I have a black and a blue hose, so they're not all green.

Most are green so they will blend in with the color of the grass. However, there are now purple, blue, red, and yellow available.
