Do not drive it have it towed to the dealership or the shop of your choice and have the system flushed .
Heinz you are right but transmission fluid has different additives and will damage the system .

This is like the 3rd question I've seen here already. What gives with you all not knowing where to put your fluids. If the truck is new, why you even touching that stuff? Besides, how much is a small amount? a drop, or a cap ful or what? Or enough to top off the reservior? If thats the case, get a turkey baster, and suck out as much fluid as you can, and replace with fresh BRAKE FLUID. Unless you had driven the vehicle, then you'll need to bleed your brakes as well. Have fun with that.

Well the first thing is to remove all of the brake fluid from reservoir, as long as u have used the brakes, then flush the system and hope the trans-fluid didn't harm the brakes seals in the master cylinder...

I know one guy did the same - his brakes started dragging all the time even if you don't press it. What you should do is take your car to a mechanic a.s.a.p. and have them change the brake fluid and bleed the system and inspect for any other damage. What happens is those rubber valves and o-rings in the brake system start swelling once they come in contact with oil. If you're lucky, they will just flush the whole brake system and everything will be OK.

While they both are similar in the fact that they are hydraulic fluids they are not the same. They willl mix however. Try to get the most of it out you can w/ a dropper or something and clean the resivour. Refill it with brake fluid and it will be fine.

go get the brake system flushed out ASAP!!! the rubber seals in a brake system are designed for brake fluid only. I have repaired a car that had the very same thing happen. every seal in the system swelled up and fell out of it's bores. basically, dragging brakes, leaks, and all sorts of other problems. totalling about 1500 bucks worth of work. get that thing profesionally cleaned

Stick some explosives under the seat
let them go off,you won't have to worry about putting the fluids in the wrong system again

are we talking a drop or two.? if a fair amount was put in, before you drive it again get something like a turkey baster, remove as much of the oil out of the reservoir as possible and then fill back up with the proper brake fluid.

If you put too much in you need to drain the resivior and refill it... go too low and the brakes system will need to be purged.
