Here in San Antonio, we have to pay for wireless internet pretty much everywhere we go, except for the occasional Ma and Pa coffeehouse downtown. I head that in Austin, internet is free in many places like Starbucks and Borders. Do you have many free hotspots in your area?
I'm very curious. I travel a lot and like to have free hotspots where I go.

WiFi is not free at any of the Starbucks in the Baltimore, MD area. However, select McDonalds offer free WiFi and free WiFi can be found at Panera Bread. I love Panera Bread, good food and free WiFi, what more could you ask for?

I've heard it's free in some cities. I think Philly is one of them. Here in Cleveland, we have to pay for it except at the library.

Coffee shops around here (KC) have free wireless, and the whole county is thinking of getting free wi-fi.

But we have to pay for our DSL :-)
